The history of military pediatrics is rich, and Uniformed pediatricians have made and continue to make major contributions to the discipline of
pediatrics as well as to the mission of the armed services. The relevance of military pediatrics to
the mission of the Armed Forces as well as to the greater pediatric medical community is alive and well
in the 21st Century.
